Memorable Moments: The Candle and the Flame

Happy Monday, dear friends! Today I am going to share with all of you some of my favorite scenes from The Candle and the Flame by Nafiza Azad. This is a beautiful fantasy novel with many strong female characters, lots of diversity, and a fiery romance. If you want to know more about The Candle and the Flame read our book discussion here!

Memorable Moments: The Dimpleverse Series

Happy Monday, dear friends! Today I’m going to share with all of you some of my favorite scenes from the Dimpleverse series by Sandhya Menon. The Dimpleverse includes When Dimple Met Rishi, There’s Something About Sweetie, and 10 Things I Hate About Pinky. I have reviews for each of the books which you can read here.

Let me tell you, it was really hard to choose ten memorable moments from all three books. I pretty much love these books in their entirety and every moment is a favorite one. But somehow I was able to narrow it down to this list. I hope you enjoy it!

Also, you’ve been warned. If you haven’t read the Dimpleverse books then turn away now!! Come back later to read this post. 😀

Memorable Moments: Ayesha at Last!

Earlier this week we celebrated the US book birthday for Uzma Jalaluddin’s debut novel, Ayesha At Last. Faiza and I had the privilege of reading this book last year and we absolutely fell in love with this Pride and Prejudice retelling with a modern Muslim twist. It has everything we love in an #ownvoices contemporary: compelling lead characters, authentic Muslim representation, and a beautiful love story. Co-blogger Faiza explains more of what she loved in her review here.

I have so much LOVE for this book that it was really hard to pick just ten of my favorite moments. I pretty much read this in one sitting and enjoyed every minute of it. To make this post a bit livelier, I decided to include Bitmoji reactions to match the scenes from Ayesha At Last.

Also, you’ve been warned.
